Plans to convert agricultural buildings in West Stoughton into four homes have been given the green light by Sedgemoor District Council.

The planning application to determine if prior approval is required for a proposed change of use of two agricultural buildings to four dwellings and associated operational development at Lime Kiln Farm, Lime Kiln Lane, West Stoughton, was submitted by Mr Seymour.

The site is used as a cattle enterprise and has a number of traditional and modern farm buildings located to the west and north of a farmhouse.

The barns that will be converted are located off a large area of hardstanding and access track which runs around the rear of the dwelling.

Wedmore Parish Council supported the application saying it was a well thought out small development which will provide good quality small to medium size houses in the area, and that the current buildings are in a very poor state of repair.
