Cheddar area roadworks for week commencing June 8

There are set to be more temporary traffic lights on the A371 in Draycott this week for Truespeed to continue their ultrafast broadband work.

The current multi-way lights along the road from the junction with Wet Lane to the junction with New Road, should continue until Wednesday (June 10).

Then from Thursday (June 11) to June 18, there are scheduled to be two-way rolling temporary traffic lights with multi-way lights at junctions further along the road, from the junction with Cross Farm Road through to the crossroads where the A371 meets Latches Lane and Short Lane.

The works are for Truespeed to check a BT duct for them to use for their ultrafast broadband service, and desilting and digging as required where blockages are found.

Other roadworks in the Cheddar area this week include:

The temporary traffic lights on the B3151 Cheddar Moor Road by Hythe Bow Bridge for Wales and West Utilities to replace a metal gas main with a plastic one and connect up nearby properties, are scheduled to be removed by Tuesday (June 9).

From Tuesday to Thursday, Bristol Water are scheduled to be examining a main in Westacre Road, and installing a stop tap in Westacre Close.

On Wednesday and Thursday, Western Power Distribution are due to be tree trimming in Bradley Cross Lane.

Finally, from Wednesday to Friday (June 12) Bristol Water are scheduled to be cutting off a supply in Hythe Wood.
