Bloor Homes have been given permission to build fewer garages than initially planned at homes on their new Holwell Lane development in Cheddar.

An application by the company for non-material amendment to planning permission 17/19/00005 (erection of 134 dwellings with access, public open space and associated infrastructure) to remove garages from a number of plots and to replace the Shirley House type with the Langley House type on land at Holwell Lane has been approved by Sedgemoor District council planners.

It has not been stated on the documents available on Sedgemoor's planning portal how many garages are being removed from the original plans.

Planning applications received by Sedgemoor District Council in the Cheddar area this week:

Formation of vehicular access in the rear (south) boundary wall and paved parking area, and conversion and alterations of attached annex accommodation to incorporate into main dwelling at Park House, St Mary's Street, Axbridge, have been applied for by Mr and Mrs Peters.

Certificate of Lawfulness to establish the existing use of a garage as a residential dwelling at Vintage M G Restorations, Bristol Road, Biddisham, is wanted by Mr and Mrs Body.

Conversion of garage into living accommodation at Holman House, Combe Batch, Wedmore, has been applied for by Mr Cousins.

Planning applications decided in the Cheddar area by Sedgemoor District Council this week include:

Certificate of Lawfulness for the existing occupation of dwelling without compliance with condition 2 of Planning Permission 17/96/00030 (agricultural occupancy) at Valley's Edge, Latches Lane, Cheddar, by Mr Vining has been given.

Erection of single story extension to rear (west) elevation with terrace over at Thistlewell Cottage, Cuck Hill, Shipham, by Mr and Mrs Fitzpatrick has been approved.
