Plans for nine homes to be built in Wedmore have been withdrawn

A planning application for the building of nine homes on the site of some farm buildings in Wedmore has been withdrawn.

The outline application to Sedgemoor District Council with all matters reserved for the erection of up to nine dwellings on site of existing farm buildings to be demolished at Cross Farm, The Borough, Wedmore, has been withdrawn by Thomas Tincknell.

The site is currently cattle buildings, and the reason to put homes on the site was stated that the applicant was finding it increasingly difficult to farm from the site, which is central in Wedmore, however, the plans have now been withdrawn.

Planning applications in the Cheddar area that have been submitted this week include:

Erection of a single storey extension to the rear (North) elevation at Melody Farm, The Causeway, Mark, has been applied for by Mr Kehoe.

Application for a proposed lawful development certificate for the replacement of windows at Barn Close, Wet Lane, Draycott, has been made by Mr Richard Oliver.

Planning applications in the Cheddar area that have been decided this week include:

Erection of two storey extension to rear (east) elevation at 7 Marron Close, Axbridge, by Mrs Dutton has been approved.

Certificate of Lawfulness for the existing use of the former workshop premises as a residential dwelling at Building at Ashwood Farm, Shipham Road, Cheddar, by Mr Turley has been approved.

Certificate of Lawfulness for the proposed demolition of existing single storey rear additions and erection of a single storey extension to position of original wall and infill return, on first floor, build up existing wall to height of original eaves and match roof pitch and form at Wayside Cottage, Church Street, Mark, by Mr Coulson has been refused.

Application to determine if the prior approval is required for the erection of an agricultural building to store hay and machinery at land south of Horseleaze Lane, Shipham, by Mr Brooks has concluded that approval of details is required.

Change of Use from Residential Dwelling (C3) to Registered Residential home for Children and Young People (C2) at 1 Valley View, Snake Lane, Bagley, by Mr Daniels and MJ Support Ltd has been refused.
