Its showroom in Mark may be closed, but Somerlap is keeping Somerset's DIY and garden enthusiasts busy with its click and collect service.

Any product from the website is still available to order, from fencing (if those winter storms get the better of your current panels) to sheds, decking, and accessories. Allocated time slots for collection and a designated collection point mean that social distancing in observed, and Somerlap is also offering a free delivery service if customers cannot visit in person.

The click and collect service began during the first lockdown, and has proved popular with customers. Feedback has been positive, with customers appreciating the measures taken to keep them safe and keep them busy at home. Since the first lockdown Somerlap has also introduced a new telephone consultation service, so that customers can obtain advice and ensure that they are purchasing everything they need to complete their planned job.

Kevin Bond, Managing Director of Somerlap, said, "With the Government asking people to stay at home again, householders are naturally keen to do some work on their homes to keep busy. As a key supplier of pallets and packing crates to the food industry we have to continue working, so it makes sense to offer customers a click and collect service for our retail products. Free delivery is always very popular, and we normally manage to deliver customer orders within a few days."
