A fire crew from Cheddar tackled what they later ruled as an arson at a building at Holwell Lane, Cheddar

Fire control received a report of the fire at just after 5pm on February 13.

One fire appliance from Cheddar was mobilised and confirmed smoke and flames were issuing upon arrival but no further appliances were required.

This was one disused barn approximately 20m by 5m, of block and timber construction. The fire involved approximately one tonne of timber within the barn.

Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire which officers believed was a deliberate ignition.
