Avon and Somerset Police are again seeking the public's help to find a wanted man with links to Winscombe.

Richard Smart, who is aged 53, is wanted on a recall to prison, having previously been sentenced for burglaries committed across Somerset.

Smart has links to Bristol and Somerset, including Winscombe, but is known to travel all over the South West. Most recently he has been seen in Brislington and Bridgwater.

The police initially made an appeal to find Smart back in February, and are now again asking for the public's help in locating him.

He is described as white, approximately 6ft, average build, and having grey hair with stubble. He has blue eyes and he speaks with a West Country accent.

He has a small scar above his right eyebrow, and tattoos on his arms.

A police spokesperson said: "Anyone who sees him should not approach him and call 999 and give reference number 5221086256.

"Or, if you know of his whereabouts, call 101 and give the call-handler the same reference code."
