Approval given to turn former telephone exchange in Cross into one-bedroom home

A former telephone exchange in Cross can now be turned into a home after approval was given by Sedgemoor District Council.
The planning application for the conversion and extension of a former telephone exchange into a one-bedroom home at Southcroft Farm, Bridgwater Road, Cross, was made by Mr and Mrs Brinson.
The owners had previously gained permission to convert the building into a holiday let and also to use the building as an agricultural store. At present it is used for general storage.
Planning applications submitted in the Cheddar area this week to Sedgemoor District Council include:
Erection of barn for storage of hay at land to the east of Mark Road, Chapel Allerton, has been applied for by Mr Popham.
Erection of a two-storey extension to the south west elevation of the existing structure at Milestones, Barrows Road, Cheddar, is wanted by Mr Underhill.

Non-material amendment to planning permission 03/14/00015 (erection of building to form three garages and store) to create an additional dormer, reduce number of rooflights, installation of additional windows and alterations to doors at Bow Farm, Bristol Road, Badgworth, by Mr Clements has been approved.
Erection of a detached single garage at Maes Y De, Venns Gate, Cheddar, by Mr B Britton has been approved.
