Author from Cheddar has her first children's book published
A Cheddar author has recently had her first children's book published.
Cow In A Crash Helmet is a children's book by Pauline Tucker, and it has now been published by Onion Custard Kids, which is part of wordcatcher.com.
Myrtle, the little cow with big ideas, is so excited by the powerful motorbike whizzing past the farm gate she decides to get one of her own. She sets about earning the money by doing odd-jobs around the farm.
Babysitting calves, seeing ducks across the road... that's the easy bit. She attempts to ride it, with help from Tom the Sheepdog and the other animals, with varying levels of success.
Add hang-gliding and water-skiing to her adventures and you've got Cow In A Crash Helmet, which is available online from Waterstones, WH Smith, hive.co.uk and Amazon, where it already has five-star reviews. You can also read a sample on Google Books.
Pauline said: "Children from three upwards will love to listen to Myrtle's escapades, and independent readers aged six plus will enjoy reading the story themselves."
