Caravan park in Mark officially allowed to stay after planning permission is granted
A farm in Mark, which has been operating a caravan site since 1975, will officially be allowed to continue after planning approval was granted by Sedgemoor District Council.
A planning application for a Certificate of Lawfulness for the existing use of land as a caravan park and caravan storage at Dutch Court Farm Caravan Park, Dutch Road, Mark, was submitted by Mr J and Mrs P Harris.
The current owners bought the land from a family member in 2002, and have expanded the use of the site since.
Sedgemoor agreed to officially allow the use of the land to be for a caravan park as the site has been used for this purpose for more than 10 years.

Application for prior notification of agricultural development for a proposed building at Honeymead Cottage, Honeyhurst Lane, Rodney Stoke, has been made by Daniel Lane.

Application to discharge planning obligation (Section 106 agreement) dated 29/08/2000 between Sedgemoor District Council and Mark Percival Charles Banwell, relating to planning application 50/99/00048 to allow for The Barn to be used as an independent dwelling at The Barn, Crossways Farm, Castle Lane, Heath House, by Mr Banwell has been refused, as has a Certificate of Lawfulness for the existing use of The Barn and associated land as an independent dwelling.
Application to determine if prior approval is required for a proposed change of use of agricultural building to a dwelling and associated operational development at Maldon Farm, Cocklake, by Mrs D E Hooper has been approved.
Erection of a double garage with ancillary accommodation on site of existing garage to be demolished, formation of a wheelchair accessible ramp to the raised house level and installation of platform lift at Manor Lodge, Redmans Hill, Blackford, by Mrs Fountain has been approved.
