Cheddar area roadworks for week commencing November 2

Temporary traffic lights are planned on the A371 heading out of Cheddar this week before the lockdown comes into effect.

The lights are scheduled to be in place on Draycott Road in between Winchester Farm and the garden centre from Monday (November 2).

They are due to be used to enable Wales and West Utilities to replace 380 metres of gas main.

Other roadworks in the Cheddar area that are set to take place this week before lockdown include:

On Tuesday (November 3) and Wednesday (November 4) temporary traffic lights are scheduled on the A371 Wells Road in Draycott to enable Bristol Water to repair a frame and cover.

From Tuesday, BT is set to be replacing a telegraph pole in Round Oak Road, in Cheddar.

Bristol Water's work to repair a leak in Tuttors Hill is due to be completed on Monday, as is the Truespeed work to clear a blockage and install a customer connection in Cross Farm Road, Draycott.
