A road in Wedmore is scheduled to be closed for two days this week for roadworks.

Billing's Hill is set to be shut to traffic on Monday (September 28) and Tuesday (September 29) from the junction with Dando's Lane to the junction with Sand Road and Grant's Lane.

It is due to be closed to enable Bristol Water to carry out works to replace a leaking stop tap, and a diversion will be in place and signposted.

Other roadworks in the Cheddar area that are scheduled to take place this week include:

On Monday, there is set to be stop and go traffic control on the A371 Upper New Road to enable Somerset Highways to undertake jetting works, with similar work taking place on Wednesday (September 30) in Tweentown.

Bristol Water is due to be fixing a defective reinstatement on Wednesday and Thursday (October 1) in Round Oak Road.

From Friday (October 2) to October 6, Gigaclear is scheduled to be undertaking a fibre service installation in Clewer Road, Clewer.

Finishing on Monday should be three lots of Bristol Water works - replacing stop taps in Hill Lea Gardens and Orchard Way, and repairing a leak on a service pipe in Kent Street.

Finally, BT's work to clear an urgent fault and restore a service in Nye Close is set to continue until Wednesday.
