In line with coronavirus restrictions, the children's playgrounds at Hannah More Park and Sharpham Road Playing Fields in Cheddar, together with the skate park, are closed for the time being.

The playing fields themselves and Hannah More Park are open to the public, providing social distancing is strictly observed.

All face-to-face Cheddar Parish Council meetings have been cancelled and the clerks are working from home, but they can pick up phone messages and emails.

The exhibition of parish council projects planned for April 3 and 4 has been postponed, so too has the annual parish meeting scheduled for April 22. Both these events will be reschedued later in the year.

Decisions on community service awards and local grants have been deferred at least until May 31.

Burials will still take place and can be arranged with the assistant clerk on 01934 743217 or [email protected].
