Hannay Road and Warrens Hill, in Cheddar, are due to be closed for six Sundays in a row from this week.

The roads will be closed from 8am to 4pm over six Sundays, with the first being July 12 and the last being August 16.

The closures are to enable A-Plant Lux to carry out cabling works on behalf of BT Openreach.

Related to the closures and the works, there will also be multi-way temporary traffic lights on those Sundays at the crossroads where the B3135 meets Hannay Road and Round Oak Road.

Other roadworks in Cheddar that are scheduled to take place this week include:

The closure of Birch Hill to enable BT Openreach to carry out ducting work to provide a telephone and broadband service is scheduled to be lifted on Tuesday (July 7).

Also, the temporary traffic lights on the A371 Draycott Road to allow Wales and West Utilities to replace a gas main are scheduled to be in place until August 14.
