Temporary traffic lights are planned to start on the A371 Draycott Road, Cheddar, next week and are set to be in place for seven weeks.

The lights are scheduled to be in place from Monday (June 22) until August 14, and will be for roadworks between the Roosters and Sunnydale properties.

They are due to be used to enable Wales and West Utilities to replace 380 metres of gas main along the road.

Other roadworks in Cheddar next week include:

From Wednesday (June 24) until Friday (June 26) Hythe Lane is scheduled to be closed, to enable Gigaclear to carry out a rolling programme of underground cabling works with clearing of potential duct blockages in the road.

Also, Bristol Water's work in Saxon Way is scheduled to be completed on Monday.
