A special 30 Day Spring Art Lockdown Challenge has been launched by The Arts Quarter in Cheddar.

The challenge, which runs throughout April, aims to keep villagers' minds active during the lockdown.

A prompt will be provided by The Arts Quarter every day on social media and then artists or families can use the idea to create a work of art in whatever style they choose, whether that be by drawing, painting, photography or anything else.

The prompt for April 1 is daffodils, with other examples through the month being things such as clouds, rivers and frogs.

The prompts are spring focused so that it might be images and objects that are around participants now.

The art can be done in the garden or on walks, so it is suitable for the whole family and all abilities.

The Arts Quarter in Cheddar is now closed due to coronavirus, but hopes to back encouraging creativity through classes and other events.
