As we remain deep into the coronavirus lockdown, Cheddar residents are doing their bit to make sure the spread of Covid-19 is kept to a minimum.

So far, one person has died in the Cheddar area after contracting coronavirus, which highlights the seriousness of the pandemic.

And figures of coronavirus cases at a district level have been updated, with Sedgemoor standing at 155.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the government have published the road map of the next steps in the fight against coronavirus, which includes wearing face coverings "in some settings".

Visit Somerset has urged people to only visit the Cheddar area if they are coming for exercise and if they live within one hour's drive.

The chairman of the parish council has called on the police to control anti-social driving in the village to help Cheddar return to normal.

However, Cheddar residents are showing resilience and continuing to go about their work and look after their families in as safe a way as possible.

There is even a friendly orangutan, going around the village spreading cheer to all the families.

To help make sure there is a place where everyone can access information, this article aims to inform residents about everything they need to know regarding the crisis.
