Family informed as body is found in search for missing Cheddar man

A body has been found in the Cheddar area as part of Avon and Somerset Police's search for a man missing from the village.

Officers searching for the whereabouts of missing man George, who was 68, have sadly discovered a body in the Cheddar area this morning (Saturday August 7).

A police spokesperson said: "George's family has been informed, and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and we continue to make enquiries on behalf of the coroner."
