Heavy snow on the Mendip Hills

Heavy snow has been falling on the Mendip Hills this afternoon (February 25), though it does not appear to have settled.
The Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty team took this photo at Charterhouse earlier on this afternoon, saying in a tweet: "We're a bit distracted in the office now with this sudden snow shower."
According to the Nub News weather partner Meteoblue, we should be in for a sunny end to the day in Cheddar, with the temperature dropping down to -2C overnight.
