Blackcurrant Operator - Sandford

Are you looking for a temporary summer job? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our production team.

This is an opportunity to gain experience working in the drinks industry, understanding the process of turning fruit into juice.

We're looking for a Blackcurrant Operator to join our team in Sandford for an eight to 10-week, fixed-term contract.

This role represents a fantastic opportunity to develop a range of skills and learn the basics of the beverage-making process.

We'll provide you with a comprehensive induction into what we do and ensure you are up to speed so that you can fulfil a key role in our company.

The role:

As a Blackcurrant Operator, you will work within our production process, pressing high quality juice from blackcurrants.

Joining our Seasonal Team, you'll accept fruit into our production environment and press it into juice, using machinery.

Your role will also involve:

- Making sure our quality and health and safety policies are followed

- Ensuring our workplace is clean, tidy and safe

- Communicating clearly with other colleagues, both written and verbally

- Collecting data and keeping records of your work

About you:

To be considered as a Blackcurrant Operator, you will need:

- To be a hard grafter who is prepared to get stuck in

- Accuracy and a good attention to detail

- To take responsibility and display a positive can-do attitude

- To be trustworthy and able to get the job done

- To work calmly under pressure

- To be organised and punctual

- Good interpersonal skills

Things you need to know - hours are full-time and a variety of 12-hour shifts, working Monday to Sunday including days and nights (a full season's rota will be issued at the start of employment).

An interest in the food and drink industry would be beneficial to your application, as would an interest in machinery and process operating.

Other organisations may call this role Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Drinks Manufacturing Operative, Food and Beverage Production Operative, Manufacturing Assistant, or Production Assistant.

Sales Executive/Account Manager - Biddisham

Primary SEN Teaching Assistant - Wedmore

Five Education is supporting a small special school. We are looking for candidates to help support children in their primary base.

We require candidates with experience supporting children with SEND.

The children in the school have a range of needs including Complex Needs, SpLD (Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Dyscalculia), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs). The ideal candidates for this school will be positive, proactive and patient.

Responsibilities and duties:

- Working with the teacher to help the pupils access the curriculum including supporting with differentiation

- Supporting the students social and emotional development

- Helping students to learn self-regulation techniques, though a lot of guidance and support will be required

- Keeping students engaged with their work

- Implementing behaviour management tools

- Developing a relationship with the students and their caregivers

- Working with other TAs and support staff

- Working with potential challenging behaviour and/ or complex needs

- Promoting the school's learner-centred approach to education

Essential criteria:

- A teaching assistant qualification (or similar - candidates with qualifications in education, youth/social work and counselling are welcome to apply)

- At least 12 months of recent teaching assistant or similar experience

- At least 6 months' experience teaching or supporting children with SEMH

- A flexible and resourceful approach

- An understanding of the primary curriculum would be ideal

- Will have strong communication and empathy skills

- You will be able to demonstrate positive reinforcement

- Experience of THRIVE would be an advantage but not essential

- Strong behaviour management skills

- Familiarity with the Key Stage 2 and 3 curriculum would be an advantage

- Have a right to work in the UK (a valid Visa)

- Two recent child-based references and relevant DBS/police checks

Five Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all of the staff we employ to share this commitment.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including a barred list check, reference checks and will need to have a DBS; there will also be a face to face interview.

Job specifics:

Temporary, full-time. £55 to £65 per day.
