Workshop Engineer Mechanical - Cheddar

The role will consist of the assembly, stripping and testing of cutting-edge equipment and well as writing detailed reports on the equipment. You will be working with AC/DC motors, pumps and gearboxes.

The role:

  • Workshop Mechanical Engineer
  • Assembly, Stripping and Testing of motors, pumps and gearboxes
  • Lots of optional overtime paid at a premium rate
  • Opportunity to progress into a supervisory role
  • 8am to 5pm, Monday-Friday

Export Sales Office Manager - near Cheddar

Would you like to join a global, market leading manufacturer as the Export Sales Office Manager?

Enable Futures are operating as an employment business on behalf of its client and recruiting for a permanent Export Sales Office Manager based near Cheddar.

The role's purpose is to effectively manage the Export Sales Office team which handles all administrative and service aspects of the sales order cycle for export markets. This involves management of individuals and close collaboration Director of Export Sales to plan and forecast sales activity and co-ordination with colleagues in the Purchasing and Supply, Finance and Operations teams to deliver results in line with forecast.

Daily troubleshooting, questioning, negotiation, organisation, and decision making are instrumental as is the ability to drive efficiency through leadership, process review and continual improvement.

Travel may be required occasionally but is not a significant part of the role. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage direct reports, including recruitment, induction, training, development, and appraisals, to achieve Functional and Company goals.
  • Be the go-to contact for the Export Director, generating monthly and quarterly despatch plans and then managing the team and co-ordinating with colleagues in the business to achieve that plan.
  • Implement improvement, and drive high service levels and efficiencies, though a good understanding of the capabilities of the ERP system, process review and streamlining, in alignment with the Export Directors' plans and overall business strategy for export.
  • Ensure smooth running of internal systems and beneficial working relationships with internal suppliers, particularly the Purchasing & Supply, Operations and Finance teams.
  • Promote key skills of accuracy, questioning, ownership, efficiency, effectiveness, and initiative and customer service skills within the team. Ensure professional and timely handling of customer enquiries and on time despatch of goods.
  • Maintain a robust system with the Logistics Manager whereby collections are arranged swiftly, and shipment terms adhered to, processes followed correctly and clear information is provided to customers and documentation is readily available for the customer upon shipment arrival to port.
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc projects and requested and required.

Care Team Leader/Head of Care - Axbridge

A dedicated and attentive individual is required to help run an attractive nursing home in the Axbridge area.

This is a lovely 35 bedded service which caters for elderly and dementia clients, and they are a part of a small, family-run care company with an excellent reputation for providing a high-standard of person-centred care. The home itself is a beautiful Edwardian building set in the heart of the historic town of Axbridge in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

This is a full-time, permanent position paying at least £10.25 per hour. The duties are working predominantly on the floor on a 40 hours per week contract split across five days.

Some weekend work will be included. Previous supervisory experience is preferred and this could be the ideal role for an experienced Team Leader/Senior Care Assistant looking to take a step up.

This role will work closely alongside the nurses and management team to maintain the high standards that the home has set and work as the link between the care staff and the managers. You will make sure that residential paperwork is updated and completed regularly while also ensuring that the care provided is of the highest possible level when shift leading.

The company is a small organisation who aim to look after their staff as well as their residents and they promote person-centred care throughout their homes.

Skills/experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 minimum
  • Medication trained
  • Experience of working within a care home environment
  • Proficient with care plans, risk assessments, supervisions, liaising with families and other healthcare professionals

Duties will include:

  • Shift leading and ensuring a high quality of care provision is maintained
  • Care plans/reviews/meetings

Permanent, full-time. £10.25 to £10.50 per hour.
