Letter: Axbridge writer seeking memories of Italian Prisoner of War

By Tim Lethaby

14th Mar 2021 | Local News

This is a bit of a long shot and is aimed at Somerset people who lived during the Second World War.

Francesca Pietro in Italy has contacted me and is asking if anyone has memories of her father Sergi Pietro, an Italian Prisoner of War held at Goathurst Camp 41, from 1942 to 1946.

She said: "I am the daughter of a POW who was held prisoner in that camp.

"I am looking for photos and news that may have had something to do with him since he passed away in 1967. Now if you have any news about it I would be delighted."

If you can help please contact me at email [email protected]. Thank you.
