Packed programme of events planned at Cheddar Gorgeous WI and new members are welcome

With lockdown restrictions easing, now is a great time to join the WI, make new friends and get to know people from the Cheddar area.

Cheddar Gorgeous WI have a packed programme planned for 2021 and members always love to welcome new faces.

Newcomers can also try the WI before they join, as they can visit up to three times before deciding to join as a member (at a cost of £5 per visit).

Cheddar Gorgeous WI has five events planned over the coming months, with some being indoors and others outdoors.

First up is a Picnic Time event, being held on June 14, where members are encouraged to bring a blanket and a snack (the WI will provide a drink) and enjoy being back with the group.

On July 12 will be an Historical Tour of Cheddar, where members can meet for a guided walk through Cheddar, learning everything you never knew about our village.

August 9 will see a Summer Fete taking place, which will include fun games and maybe a bit of country dancing, if you feel inclined.

A Creative Workshop will be held on September 13, where members will be getting crafty, and then on October 11, a Drinks Tasting will take place where you can sample and learn about a locally-made tipple or two.
