Tree surgeons across the Cheddar area are set to be busy as all the planning applications submitted this week are for works to trees.

In Axbridge, there has been an application by Enable Marketing to fell an alder in the Conservation Area at Bank House, The Square.

Works to trees in a Conservation Area are also wanted at Mulberry House, Sycamore Farm, Front Street, Stone Allerton, by Mr A Martin, who wants to remove two leylandii and a conifer.

Finally, a Five Day Notice for the ash tree covered by the Preservation Order G1 M1212 at Fernbrook, Tynings Lane, Charterhouse, has been applied for by Mr M Cooch, who want to pollard it to a safe height.

Planning applications in the Cheddar area that have been decided this week include:

Erection of single storey rear (east) extension at 23 Crossmoor Road, Axbridge, by Mr and Miss McCartney and Petter has been approved.
