Plans submitted to demolish cottage in Cheddar and build two houses in its place

A planning application has been submitted to Sedgemoor District Council for a cottage in Cheddar to be demolished and two houses be built in its place.
The application for the building of two detached dwellinghouses on the site of an existing dwelling to be demolished at 1 Steart Bushes, Wedmore Road, Cheddar, has been made by Stean Williams.
The applicant seeks to demolish the existing dwelling, a stone-built cottage, and to build two detached houses, which would be two-storey, with accommodation in the roof and a single dormer to the rear.
Two parking spaces per dwelling would be provided to the side of the site, and the new houses would cover almost the same footprint as the current cottage.

Erection of a single storey extension to existing nursery building at Mark First School, The Causeway, Mark, by Mark First and Pre-School Academy has been approved.
