Plans to build house in Wedmore are turned down

Plans to build a house on the edge of Wedmore have been refused.

An outline planning application with all matters reserved for the building of one house at Briar House, Mudgley Road, Wedmore, by Mrs Laing has been turned down by Sedgemoor District Council planners.

Planning applications submitted in the Cheddar area this week include:

Works to trees in conservation area - mature Yew trees (T1 + T2 + T3) shorten branches by approximately 1.5m to reduce overhang to Sand Road at The Hall, Sand Road, Wedmore, are wanted by Mr Hood.

Planning applications in the Cheddar area decided this week include:

Erection of a single storey extension to link bungalow and garage at Rowena, Churchlands, Mark, by Mr and Mrs Pudner has been approved.

Erection of a general purpose agricultural building at Moorhouse Farm, Southwick Road, Mark, by Mr Porter has been approved.

Erection of two storey extension to side (north east) elevation and single storey extension to rear (south east) elevation, erection of a detached garage, installation of dormer window to rear (south east) elevation to allow for conversion of loft to living accommodation at 2 New Cottages, Bridgwater Road, Cross, by Mr Scrace has been approved.

Application for Non-Material Amendment to Planning Permission 17/19/00039 'Erection of dormer windows to front (west) and rear (east) elevations to accommodate loft conversion; erection of a single storey extension to side (south) elevation on site of existing garage (to be demolished) and detached garage' to allow for additional windows to the garage at 54 St Andrew;s Road, Cheddar, by Ms Bourne has been approved.

Variation of Condition 34 (Footpath Diversion Order) of planning permission 1/17/16/083 to allow operations to take place in accordance with the Rights of Way Mitigation Plan at Land (2) at Callow Hill Quarry, Shipham Road, Cheddar, by Emily Harper has been approved.

Erection of a detached garage and conversion of existing garage to living accommodation, erection of porch to front (south) elevation and installation of additional rooflights at Cribhouse Farm, Crib House Lane, Crickham, by Mrs and Mrs Day has been approved.
