Plans to build three detached houses on site in Cheddar are withdrawn

A planning application for the building of three detached homes on a site in Cheddar has been withdrawn.

The application for the building of three detached dwellinghouses, alterations to existing access and the building of a double garage for Glendale House at Lower New Road, Cheddar, was submitted to Sedgemoor District Council by Stephen and Sarah Stotesbury.

The homes would have been of a traditional design, with two storeys, and were planned to be as energy efficient as possible, but the proposals have now been withdrawn.

Planning applications in the Cheddar area that have been submitted this week to Sedgemoor District Council include:

Erection of two storey extension to rear (north) elevation on site of existing conservatory to be demolished at 48 Labourham Way, Cheddar, has been applied for by Mrs Searle.

Conversion and extension of existing garage to additional living accommodation (revised scheme) at Orwell House, The Square, Shipham, is wanted by Mr N Hansford.

Outline application with all matters reserved, for the erection of a single dwelling and formation of access within subdivison of garden at Box Tree Cottage, Sparrow Hill Way, Weare, has been applied for by Mr P Cressy.

Works to Trees in Conservation Area 4516 Alder - Reduce crown by 3m, 4517 Alder - Reduce crown height by 2m, 5513 Silver Birch - Crown lift to 5m max, 733 Silver Birch - Crown reduce 2m max at Axbridge Primary School, Moorland Street, Axbridge, by Mrs L Richardson have been approved.

Works to Trees in Conservation Area Ash (2604) – Fell at Car Park, Old Church Road, Axbridge, by Axbridge Town Council have been approved.

Works to Trees in Conservation Area Cherry (T2) - Thin Crown by 20 per cent max, Berberis Shrub (T3) - Remove, Silver Leaved Whitebeam (T4) - Lift crown by 1/3 metre, Apple Tree (T5) - Remove branch, Viburnum Opulus (T6) - Fell, Laburnum (T7) - Remove branch at Stone Orchard House, Copsewood Lane, Stone Allerton, by Mrs O'Connell have been approved.

Works to Trees in Conservation Area Pine Tree – Fell at The Grange, Front Street, Stone Allerton, by Mr Frost have been approved.

Works to Trees Oak (T1) - Remove deadwood within crown to 10mm, Prune extensive growth on North West of crown and West Mid height by 2m from canopy, Reduce overhang to adjoining garden at 11 Barrows Croft, Cheddar, by Fosseway Tree Services Ltd have been approved.

Conversion of existing garage to living accommodation and erection of a detached garage at Periwinkle Cottage, Mill Lane, Stone Allerton, has been approved.

Close existing access to Notting Hill Road and construction of a new vehicular access onto Dunkery Road at land to the south of Dunkery Road, Stone Allerton, by Mr Torrens-Spence has been approved.

Erection of five timber sheds in association with self sufficient growing operation and alterations to existing access at last east of Cheddar Road, Cocklake, by Mrs Campbell has been approved.

Erection of a two storey extension to the side (NW) elevation on site of existing garage to be demolished, erection of a two storey extension to the front (NE) elevation and erection of a single storey extension to the rear (SW) elevation at Sundial House, Mudgley Road, Wedmore, has been approved.
