Plans to convert part of the former NatWest bank in Cheddar into a podiatry clinic are withdrawn

Plans to convert part of the former NatWest bank building in Cheddar into a podiatry clinic have been withdrawn.

The planning application to determine if prior approval is required for a proposed change of use from Shops (Class A1), Financial and Professional Services (Class A2), Betting Offices or Pay Day Loan Shops (Sui Generis uses) to Assembly and Leisure (Class D2) at Bank House, Bath Street, Cheddar, had been submitted to Sedgemoor District Council by Somerset Podiatry Clinic.

The Congresbury-based company had planned to convert one of the retail units in the building into a clinic to operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8.30am to 5.30pm, but has now withdrawn the application.

Planning applications in the Cheddar area that have been submitted this week include:

Erection of a two storey extension with balcony at Kingsway Farm, Kingsway, Tarnock, has been applied for by Mr and Mrs Keedwell.

Variation of Condition 1 of Planning Permission 17/20/00020 (Variation of Condition 2 of Planning Permission 17/17/00090 Erection of a dwelling to amend approved vehicle turning area) to allow for the installation of photo-voltaic panels to the roof at Ravenscroft, Barrows Road, Cheddar, is wanted by Mr and Mrs Jenkin.

Conversion of coach house to form ancillary accommodation to the existing main dwelling and a home gym at Sunnydale, Redmans Hill, Blackford, has been applied for by Mr Arnstein.

Formation of concrete yard at New Grove Farm, Snipefield Lane, Blackford, is wanted by Mr Coombes.

Works to Trees in Conservation Area T1 Ash - Fell, T2 Plum Tree - Remove limb at Warners Close, Pilcorn Street, Wedmore, have been applied for by Mr Anthony.

Works to Trees in Conservation Area T1 - Dead tree (species unknown), fell T2 and T3 - elder, fell T4 - holly, T5 - ash - reduce height of by 2m and rebalance crown over garden at 17 West Street, Axbridge, by Mrs Prior have been approved.

Application to determine if prior approval is required for a proposed change of use of agricultural building to a dwelling and associated operational development at Kingsway Farm, Kingsway, Tarnock, by Mr S Keedwell has been withdrawn.

Erection of a single storey rear extension, a first floor side extension and a partial garage conversion at The Homestead, Kent Street, Cheddar, by Mr and Mrs Stewart has been approved.

Erection of an agricultural building to store hay and machinery on land south of Horseleaze Lane, Shipham, by Mr Brooks has been approved.

Application to determine if prior approval is required for a proposed concrete yard area at Bow Farm, Poolbridge Road, Blackford, by J and D Tilbee has been refused.

Conversion of attached barn to annexe (additional information received 06.07.2020) at Holly Farm, Stoke Street, Rodney Stoke, by Mr and Mrs Borwick has been approved.

Application to vary conditions 2 (Occupation) and 1 (Approved Plans) on planning approval 2014/0829/FUL at Ubley Hill Farm House, Ubley Drove, Charterhouse, by Mr Matt Davis has been approved.

Erection of a single storey side extension at Perro House, Ubley Drove, Charterhouse, by Mr and Mrs Cowley has been approved.
