Plans to create three homes at site in Cheddar are withdrawn
Plans for the expansion of a Cheddar property and its garage to create three homes, have been withdrawn.
A planning application for the extension to, and subdivision of, the existing dwelling to form two dwellings, and the conversion of, and extension to, the existing garage with ancillary accommodation above to form one dwelling at Ceconda, The Barrows, Cheddar, had been submitted to Sedgemoor District Council by Mr Sugg.
The site currently contains a four-bedroom house, garage and flat over, and this application was proposing the creation of two two-bedroom semi-detached houses and one three-bedroom house.
Cheddar Parish Council objected to the plans, saying it was an over-development of the plot and the bedrooms did not meet the legal requirement of rooms sizes, and the application has now been withdrawn.

Erection of a two-lane English Cricket Board approved cricket practice net 7.3m wide by 4m high by 18.3m long at land to the west of Vole Road, Mark, by Mark Cricket Club has been approved.
Application to determine if prior approval is required for the proposed change of use of agricultural building to a dwelling and associated works at Totney Wick, Little Moor Road, Mark, by Mr R Weight has been refused.
Erection of an agricultural workers' dwelling at King Down Farm, Velvet Bottom, Charterhouse, by Mr S McCormmack has been refused.
