Plans to site a mobile home in the garden of a house in Biddisham have been given the green light by Sedgemoor District Council.

A planning application for a Certificate of Lawfulness for the proposed siting of a mobile home to provide additional living accommodation within the garden area of the existing dwelling at Westlea, Biddisham Lane, Biddisham, had been submitted by Robert Stiddard.

This application was made to confirm that the provision of a twin unit mobile home in the garden of his home to provide additional accommodation for occupation by his family as part of one household, would not result in operational development or a material change of use, and as such planning permission would not be required.

Sedgemoor agreed saying that was the case as the mobile home would be sharing Westlea's amenity space, access and parking arrangements.

One planning application in the Cheddar area has been submitted to Sedgemoor District Council this week:

Works to Trees: Ash (T1) dismantle, ash (T2) fell, ash (T3) dismantle, ash (T4) reduce to ground level at 7 Queens Row, The Cliffs, Cheddar, have been applied for by Longleat.

Planning applications in the Cheddar area that have been decided by Sedgemoor District Council this week include:

Installation of two wall-mounted non-illuminated signs at Co-op, The Square, Axbridge, by Co-operative Group Ltd has been approved.

Proposed single-storey side (west), rear (north) and front (south) extensions at Prospect Cottage, Webbington Road, Compton Bishop, by Mr and Mrs Cole have been approved.

Erection of an agricultural building at land to the north of Cross Moor Drove, Lower Weare, by Mr P Athay has been approved.

Certificate of Lawfulness for the existing use of outbuilding as residential ancillary accommodation at Clarkes Farm, Kennel Lane, Webbington, by W H Amesbury and Son has been approved.

Application for non-material amendment to planning permission 33/19/00034 (erection of an agricultural building for livestock) to allow for the agricultural building to be re-sited at

Reed Farm, Southwick Road, Mark, by C L, A E and R C Sweet has been withdrawn.

Application to determine if prior approval is required for the erection of single-storey extension extending 5.3m from the rear (east) elevation at Alderney, Notting Hill Way, Stone Allerton, by Hub Drawing Services Ltd has been approved.
