Tree works at Kings Academy in Cheddar among a number approved in Conservation Areas
It is set to be a busy time for tree surgeons in the Cheddar area, after Sedgemoor District Council approved a number of works in Conservation Areas.
This week, six planning applications for works to trees in Conservation Areas in the Cheddar area have been approved by the council.
The main one is at Kings Academy in Cheddar, where a variety of works can now take place on trees across the site, though the report submitted with the application does say that ash dieback disease is yet to have a major impact on the ash trees at the school.
The other works to trees in Conservation Areas that have been given the green light this week are:
T1 walnut - reduce by three metres all the way around at Corners, Stone Allerton, by Ms Flew.
Reduce height and spread of an ornamental maple by one-and-a-half metres and thin out the crown by 20 per cent at Brambles, Stone Allerton, by Mrs C Pike.
