As more and more events are being organised locally, Nub News is launching a new weekly round up of what's on in the Cheddar area each weekend.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

1. Essence; an exhibition of paintings and ceramics by Susannah Crook and Renee Kilburn

Susannah and Renée, two local artists, are exhibiting their nature inspired work.

Renée makes decorative stoneware ceramics suitable for home or garden.

Susannah creates earth pigment paintings depicting various aspects of the beautiful North Somerset shoreline.

2. Baby Sensory Cheddar Winter Term

Baby Sensory offers a world full of exciting experiences like textures, signing, music, light shows and lots more.

You and your baby will experience different sensory activities designed to support your baby's sensory development every week.

3. Stretch Your Legs Around Sandford

Wellbeing Walks for Women walk information:

Distance: about 3 miles

Difficulty: medium to hard: narrow, rocky paths, a few wooden stiles, a steep climb.

Paths can get muddy so wear suitable footwear

Duration: about 1.5 hours at a leisurely pace

Start on Hill Road in Sandford.

By car: On-street parking available in nearby streets. Please park considerately.

Refreshments: Food and drink available at the Railway Inn, on the A368; the Alpine Lodge at Mendip Snow Sports Centre; and Lyncombe Lodge also welcomes walkers.
