Youth mental health charity The Space, in Cheddar, is delighted to announce the launch of its new website to coincide with BBC Children in Need 2020.
The new website thespacesomerset.org.uk will be a "go to" resource for young people and their families to access information about the support they offer.
The Space has been operating since 2017 as a project of the Cheddar Community Partnership, supporting the mental health needs of children and young people in the area.
Doreen Smith, The Space's operations director, said: "The Space has been very fortunate to receive funding from BBC Children In Need (CIN) and therefore it's very fitting that we should launch our website on a very key day in the BBC Children in Need calendar.
"BBC CIN's funding has enabled The Space to provide free one-to-one counselling for children and young people in the Cheddar Valley area, which has been particularly needed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
"Without this funding we may have been unable to continue providing this much-needed support."
The Space project works with local young people aged four to 18 years living with low mental health and emotional resilience, often in crisis, e.g. depression, anxiety, attempted suicide, etc, potentially caused by several issues, including abuse, neglect, and trauma.
