Cheddar Gorge is closed as motorcyclist is airlifted to hospital

The road through Cheddar Gorge is closed this afternoon following a crash that has seen a motorcyclist having to be airlifted to hospital.

The B3135 through the gorge is currently closed while the emergency services respond to the collision.

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital by air ambulance following the incident which happened at approximately 1.40pm. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
