Sales Administrator - Cheddar

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 30 minutes for lunch.

Our well established and reputable family run client is seeking a highly organised Sales Administrator to join their successful team based in Cheddar.

Daily duties will involve:

- Answering the phone and taking orders from customers.

- Entering sales orders onto the system accurately using Sales-i and excel and keeping CRM database up-to-date.

- Liaising with other teams in the office to ensure products are in stock and correct lead times are given to customers.

- Raising invoices and delivery notes using SAGE 50.

- Arranging freight and dealing with export documentation.

- Sending marketing mailshots to CRM database.

- Assisting sales team with sending out samples and quotes to customers.

- Booking appointments and arranging travel and accommodation.

- Helping customers with answering technical queries regarding the products (full product training will be given)

- Welcoming visitors.

- General office administration duties including email, filing, photocopying, post etc.

The preferred candidate will be very well organised, with high attention to detail and accuracy. You will be customer focused and confident with good IT skills (Excel, Word and Outlook) and work well under pressure with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You will be a team player and work well under your own initiative. Full product training will be given.

Permanent, full-time. Salary £18,000 to £19,000 per annum.

Nursery Manager - Cheddar

Do you want to lead a brand-new early years nursery and creche in Cheddar? Do you think you have what it takes to build a team from nothing and get the centre to an Ofsted outstanding rating?

Are you motivated to create a centre that consistently exceeds parents' expectations and delivers exceptional child-centric day care?

The role:

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to be a key part of the creation of a new day nursery and creche, including its layout, procedures and team.

Reporting to the directors, the role will be for 40 hours per week but additional hours may be required to ensure the proper running of the nursery.

You will have a lot of autonomy to shape the nursery in the way you see best and recruit your team around you as long as it is in keeping with the strategic direction of the directors.

About you:

Qualifications should be a given and the right candidate must have at least a level 3 qualification in childcare.

You should be driven to developing children utilising effective curriculum planning to treat each child as unique with unlimited potential to overachieve across all areas of the EYFS.

You should have demonstrable experience (minimum three years) of leading an early years setting and achieving excellent results.

The right candidate must have experience of managing a team to deliver exceptional childcare, ideally in an Ofsted Outstanding setting.

You should be viewed by peers and direct reports as being an exceptional and motivational leader.

A current paediatric first aid qualification is also desired, but not essential.

Your duties:

You will be responsible for leading a team of six to deliver exceptional childcare and fostering a meaningful partnership with parents.

You will be responsible for all day to day operations as well as ensuring compliance with Ofsted, local authority and HSE requirements.

You will ensure that the standard operating procedures are being carried out correctly as well as compliance with the company's policies and in conjunction with the directors will carry out audit checks to ensure compliance.

You will ensure that staff are assessing well-being and progress of children and adapting to the results in the curriculum planning.

The team environment is very important too. You will be responsible for creating a high-performing team that clearly derives enjoyment from its work and keeps up continuous professional development.

You will also liaise with the kitchen (part of the FEC) to develop a healthy and varied menu for the children taking into account individual dietary and allergy needs and cultural diversity.

In addition, you will also be responsible for:

- Playing a major role in the development of high-quality teaching and learning including the monitoring of curriculum planning and the giving of feedback and advice and assisting and supporting colleagues with the planning and delivery of a differentiated curriculum.

- Leading the team in the delivery of a creative and stimulating curriculum.

- Helping to ensure that all the children are able to learn and achieve to the best of their ability.

- Ensuring that the requirements of the EYFS including arrangements for assessment and moderation are met.

- Analysing children's progress and monitor the data continuously.

- Supporting, training and appraising all staff to ensure high quality childcare practice, for the staff they manage in accordance with the company's supervision procedures ensuring that targets are being set and monitored.

- Organising the day to day running of the Nursery including the efficient management of Nursery resources.

- Having a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children. Ensuring compliance with safeguarding policy.

- Promoting self-discipline, high standards of behaviour and positive attitudes on the part of all children and to the implement policies and procedures.

- Supervising the children where required and to protect them from dangerous or harmful situations. To provide a high level of care that will enhance children's general health and well-being.

- Ensuring that a high standard of care and good order for all children is maintained.

- Promoting equality of opportunity and fostering an inclusive culture and environment.

- Promoting equal opportunities ensuring individual children's needs and circumstances are known and met through the care and education provided.

- Recognising and acting upon children's additional or special educational needs and ensure staff support these children effectively. Contributing to Local Authority procedures of intervention and support.
