Colourful creations are wanted in Cheddar windows next month for a special festive trail around the village.
A Make Cheddar Festive Window Wanderland event is planned in the village from December 6 to 20, from 6pm to 9pm.
Window Wanderlands have been held across the country, and the idea is simple – help turn all of Cheddar's windows into a magical night-time gallery.
Secretary of Cheddar Chamber of Commerce, Beccy Lloyd, said: "We're hoping as many homes and businesses will take part as possible.
"We've got one group of residents hoping to decorate the grassy island and trees in the middle of their cul-de-sac, permission for artists and volunteers to decorate some of the empty buildings in the village and Gorge, a Cheddar Artists display going into the phone box and 200 addresses already registered with just a few weeks to go."
The process is simple, firstly register your window here: windowwanderland.com/events.
Then, once you've received an email from The Arts Quarter Cheddar, arrange to collect your free window display kit.
Once you have made your Window Wanderland display, between December 6 and 20 you can go on an evening walk and see Cheddar in a whole new light.
As well as the Chamber, Make Cheddar Festive is supported by The Arts Quarter, Cheddar Artists, Sedgemoor District Council and Cheddar Parish Council.
The event was commissioned by Seed, an Arts Council funded Creative People and Places project.
