Plans to build farm worker's home on the edge of Mark are withdrawn

A planning application to build an agricultural worker's home on the edge of Mark, has been withdrawn.

Plans for the building of a timber agricultural worker's dwelling, with formation of new access and turning area on land to the south of Rookery Farm, Northwick Road, Mark, had been submitted to Sedgemoor District Council by Mr C Petheram.

The proposed timber cabin had been positioned to be close to the farm buildings but be away from neighbouring properties, however the plans have now been withdrawn.

Planning applications in the Cheddar area that have been submitted to Sedgemoor District Council this week include:

Installation of three replacement windows on the first floor to the South East elevation at Upper Southwick Farm, Southwick Road, Mark, is wanted by Mrs Perry.

Replacement of existing conservatory and erection of a single storey porch to the East elevation and the installation of dormer to the North elevation with internal alterations at Yew Tree House, Mutton Lane, Wedmore, has been applied for by Mr and Mrs Hanson.

Works to Trees in Conservation Area: Reduce pittosporum by 0.9m, coppice hazel to ground level and reduce bay tree all round by 1.2m at Glendale, Church Street, Wedmore, are wanted by Mrs M Cavanagh.

Planning applications in the Cheddar area that have been decided by Sedgemoor District Council this week include:

Erection of garden studio/utility room on site of existing single storey lean-to utility room (to be demolished) at The Grey House, The Square, Axbridge, has been approved.

Erection of a single storey extension to the front (North) elevation on site of existing extension to be demolished; formation of UPVC double glazing and replacement of the cladding to the front elevation, and internal and external alterations at 4 Houlgate Way, Axbridge, by F&B Heritage Planning and Design Support has been approved.

Erection of a garage and workshop with first floor annex at Cistone, Cheddar Road, Axbridge, by Miss Chilvers has been approved.

Erection of single storey rear (North) extension on site of existing conservatory (to be demolished) at 48 Labourham Way, Cheddar, by SJ and P Searle has been approved.

Works to Trees in Conservation Area: Reduce lateral growth of 14 Lime trees located within G1 to clear adjacent buildings (Travis Perkins) by 1.5 - 2.0m at Tate House, Valley Line Industrial Park, Wedmore Road, Cheddar, by Travis Perkins have been approved.

Erection of single storey side (East) lean-to extension at Moorland Farm, Old Coach Road, Cross, by Mr D Ham has been approved.

Erection of a single storey extension to the rear (North) elevation, erection of a first floor extension to the front (South) elevation, conversion of existing garage to living accommodation and minor alterations at Sunny Ranch, Old Coach Road, Cross, by Mr and Mrs Godwin has been approved.
