Residents in the Cheddar Valley will again be entertained and informed with the only magazine dedicated to their area.

Valley Life - the magazine at the heart of the Cheddar Valley - will resume publication in July. The monthly glossy magazine distributed to more than 4,000 homes in the area had to halt publication once the coronavirus lockdown began at the end of March.

Publisher Rob Perkins said: "Having started the magazine more than four years ago we were devastated to have to let down our loyal readers and advertisers.

"But with the government telling everyone to stay at home, it was impossible to put together and distribute the magazine which is done through our own team.

"So many wonderful events had to be cancelled like the Cheddar Arts Festival, the Top of The Gorge Festival and VE Day celebrations, all of which were going to form a major part of our coverage in the spring and summer, but now is the time to start planning for the rest of the year.

"Although it's going to be difficult still for some people and businesses in the area, we wanted to make sure that when they're ready to return we'll be here for them.

"Such fantastic work has been carried out by hundreds of people in our community that we really do want to mark their achievements in a special return issue of Valley Life."
