Year 11 at Kings Academy in Cheddar have been told to self-isolate following a confirmed case of coronavirus at the school.

The school confirmed in a statement yesterday (November 15) that there had been the positive Covid-19 result at the school and the Year 11 students would now be learning from home as a precautionary measure.

Last week, 70 Year 10 students at the school were sent home to self-isolate for 14 days after a pupil tested positive.

Following the latest positive Covid-19 case, a school spokesperson said: "Parents have been advised it is not necessary for any other member of the household to self-isolate unless they become symptomatic.

"It is also not necessary to arrange a test unless you are symptomatic."
