Go ahead given for nine houses to be built in Cheddar

Nine houses will be built in Cheddar after Sedgemoor planners gave the proposals the green light.

The planning application for the building of nine dwelling houses on land at Steart Bushes, Wedmore Road, Cheddar, by Highridge Construction Ltd has been approved by Sedgemoor District Council.

Planning applications in the Cheddar area received this week by Sedgemoor District Council include:

An application for works to trees in conservation area to reduce height of mulberry by 2m and spread (lateral growth) by 3m at The Cottage, Horns Lane, Axbridge, has been made by Mrs Matthews.

An application for approval of reserved matters, for the erection of an agricultural worker's dwelling at Brinscombe Farm, Brinscombe Lane, Weare, has been made by W S Stitch and Son.

Planning applications in the Cheddar area decided this week by Sedgemoor District Council include:

Erection of two storey extension to rear (east) elevation partly on site of existing conservatory and store to be demolished at 14 Parkfield Road, Axbridge, by Mr and Mrs Hael has been approved.

Works to trees in a conservation area - cherry tree (T1) lop one branch facing east to prevent the tree leaning further or falling down at The Shambles, Moorland Street, Axbridge, by Mr Jarman have been approved.

Listed Building Consent for external and internal alterations to include construction of a first floor and stair case with balustrade, installation of post and brace partition walls, installation of three conservation rooflights, reinstatement and replacement of sash windows, and repairs to stone boundary wall, external stone work and limewash at Rose Cottage, The Cliffs, Cheddar, by Mr Redman has been approved.

Alterations to conservatory to include new flat roof, skylight and replacement PVCu windows at Old Rowlands, The Cliffs, Cheddar, by Mr Lacoste have been approved.

Change of use of part of warehouse and workshop area (B8) to a microgym (CrossFit) facility (D2) at Stanley House, 11 Cheddar Business Park, Wedmore Road, Cheddar, by CrossFit Cheddar Rising has been approved.

Change of use of ground floor from Use Class A2 (financial) to Use Class A3 (restaurant) at Bank House, Bath Street, Cheddar, by E E Lane and Sons (Holdings) Ltd has been withdrawn.

Erection of a single storey rear extension, store and front porch at Nether Compton, Vicarage Lane, Compton Bishop, by Mrs Egan has been approved.

Erection of dwelling on site of existing dwelling to be demolished at Gruffyground, Rowberrow Lane, Shipham, by Mr and Mrs Stretton-Pow has been approved.

Certificate of Lawfulness for the erection of a single storey extension to the rear (east) elevation at 2 The Terrace, Folly Lane, Shipham, by Mr Mottram has been approved.

Demolition of existing single storey extension at rear of building and construction of rear single storey extension at Stonesteps, Church Street, Wedmore, has been approved.
