Cheddar Youth Club starts next week

Cheddar Youth Club will begin next week, for an initial trial period to see if there is enough interest for it to continue in 2021.

The plan is to open Cheddar Youth Club on Tuesday October 6 for young people aged from 11 to 13 at the Methodist Church Hall in Cliff Street at 6.30pm for a 13-week trial under Covid-safe requirements.

The youth club is a partnership between Cheddar-based charity The Space and Young Somerset, with funding making this possible from Cheddar Parish Council, the Methodist Church and The Space.

If the trial goes well, it's the intention to seek funding for 2021 and extend the year ages depending on the current Covid regulations in force.

The club will run for two hours every Tuesday, and for further information, contact Sarah Howe at Young Somerset on [email protected].
